About Sunrise

At Sunrise Montessori Academy, we are dedicated to providing affordable Montessori preschool, kindergarten & daycare to today’s youth using a technique inspired by Maria Montessori, in which children are taught hands-on rather than by watching.

We are open for full and part time enrollment and offer a full year program for ages 3-6 years old.  Early and extended hours (7am-5:30pm) are available to accommodate families in need of  before and after school care.
Admission is open to all children between ages 3-6, without regards to national origin,belief, religion,race,color or gender within the limitations imposed by class size.

What is the difference between Montessori and traditional education?
Montessori emphasizes learning through all five senses. Children in Montessori classes learn at their own individual pace, and according to their own choice of activities from many possibilities.  Learning is an exciting process of discovery leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.  Montessori classes place children in three-year age groups forming communities in which the older children spontaneously share their knowledge with the younger ones.

Sunrise Montessori is recognized and registered with the Illinois Board of Education, full member American Montessori Society, and is a member of Association of Illinois Montessori Schools.

We are currently accepting applications for fall 2019. A Montessori approach with before school care and after school care, serving, Addison, Wood dale, Bloomingdale, Lombard, Villa Park, Itasca, Roselle, and Elmhurst.
